Lily Dutch Windmill

The Lily Dutch Windmill

Every once in a while, I come across an Australian destination I can't wait to share. The Lily sits squarely in this category. With two grass air strips and aircraft parking just steps from your beautiful accommodation and dining, it's an aviator's delight. But it's also a wonderful destination for road travellers as well.

I'll let the pictures tell the story, so you can see what a unique experience staying at the Lily is. I need to mention that your hosts, Pleun and Hennie, are the most warmly welcoming people I have had the pleasure of meeting in my travels around the country.

From the iPod of stunning music on arrival (Pleun is a gifted sax player) to Hennie's amazing culinary skills, you are going to find this one of your more memorable stays.  I don't dish out the bouquets to everywhere I stay, but the Lily has earnt the praise.

So, hop onto my photo gallery, and then check out their website (thelily.com.au). You can also read my story as published in Australian Flying magazine here.
